Education

Continual learning, growing and developing our skills to better treat our pets is a constant process, a journey, not a destination.

In-Clinic & Virtual Continuing Education

ALL in-clinic and virtual training is specifically catered to what you and your veterinary team need and want! While I am happy to provide suggested topics and skills, it’s most important for me to know where you “are at” and where you’d “like to be.” Then, we can customize the best training program. The two main categories of continuing dentistry education are hands-on skill development and theoretical concept learning.

Hands-on training can cover taking radiographs, charting mouths, extractions, periodontal surgery, regional nerve blocks, etc. The lecture-based training topics include (but are not limited to) radiograph interpretation, periodontal diagnosis and treatment, dentoalveolar trauma diagnosis and treatment, home care options, effective communication of dental care recommendations, oral pathology, when to refer, Root Canal Therapy vs. Vital Pulp Therapy, and many more.
